Baby Artz
We are so excited to be having a little one coming soon & so honored for everyone’s love & support! Thank you!
We know this type of shower registry is a little different but hopefully you’ll love it as much as we do!
***UPDATE: we just received a ton of newborn clothes & diapers from our neighbors so we will not need any clothing or diapers in newborn size***
Many of the items are perfectly fine to purchase gently used & we applaud that if you like to do that sort of shopping — we love to save money & reuse items that may otherwise go to the landfill.
We recommend shopping around :
>on Amazon (they often have “used” items as well, if you look)
>on eBay
>google the item – you may find it elsewhere cheaper
>on baby consignment websites, such as: http://clothdiapertrader.com/
>CraigsList : so many sellers w/ lots of great, gently-used items at steep discount; be sure practice safe buying practices & meet in a public place
>at Baby consignment stores, or thrift stores. In the Triangle area here’s a few:
“Kid to Kid” at Crossroads in Cary (toys, gear, clothing), Once Upon A Child (Cary & Raleigh locations), Durham Rescue Mission (Glenwood Ave) has so many items (like tons of kids books!) & you can often find treasures there (& it supports a great cause); Babiology (Cameron Village Raleigh), Grow family boutique has new & pre-loved items (including cloth diapers!) 2885 Jones Franklin Road Raleigh,
Also, if you happen to have a gently-used item that fits what we’re looking for on the registry (& you don’t mind parting w/ it temporarily or permanently), we would be blessed to make use of it! …or if there’s an item you think we *really* should have on our registry (because it made the newborn-mommy/daddy life easier!!), please reach out to us — we love advice & we know we need lots of it!!
**Note: please choose gender-neutral color palette as Baby Artz’s sex is a surprise! Alan would inform you that red & gray (for Ohio State) is gender neutral. 🙂
